Everybody knows the Costa Brava as one of the most popular tourist destinations during the summer. Empúries – Ancient ruinsEmpúries is a small Spanish town on the Meditarranean coast. Greek colonists conquered this place in 575 before Christ.Later the Romans occupied the town.The ruins are midway the town L’Escala and the village of San Martí.There’s a good car parking facility and the site may be reached by a traffic-free coastal walk from L’Escala. Special ruins to pay attention to are the Palaeochristian basilica, the Roman wall and the Roman mosaic.

The National Park of Cap de CreusThe Spanish government protects this area.Cap de Creus in a unique place on the Peninsula in the Costa Brava.It covers several municipal areas, including The port of La Selva, Selva de Mar, Cadaqués and Roses.You’ll find an abrupt coast with islands and deep water. The cliffs are high and consist of rocks made strong by erosion and wind.There are forests in the inland and small hidden bays with transparent water, often only accessible from the sea. The singular nature of some rocks associated with the shape of animals, which over time have become mythical, are specially noteworthy.

Lloret de Mar – Gnomo theme-parkClose to Lloret de Mar there’s a theme park called Gnomo park.It’s a theme park ideal for younger children.There’s a farm with gnomes, several attractions, a children’s labyrinth, bowling lanes, mini golf and much more.There is also a snack bar and a restaurant in the park.

The Waterworld theme-parkWaterworld in Lloret de Mar is the largest park of its kind in Spain. There are many glides and also the possibility of bungee jumping.Because Waterworld provides a huge assortment of water attractions and slides the park is a good alternative for people who want to do something different than drinking and lying on the beach all day long. The park is open every day from 10-19 and from many places there’s a free shuttle bus.
